Our aim is to raise awareness of the vital role of anaesthesiologists in the healthcare system, including perioperative care, resuscitation, intensive care and pain management.

#WAD24
World Anaesthesia Day, celebrated on 16 October, marks an important milestone in medical history, honouring the first successful use of anaesthesia.
The day highlights the essential role anaesthesiologists play in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. Despite advances in the field, many people around the world still lack access to safe anaesthesia.
This year we focus on the well-being of the anaesthesia workforce, advocating for better support and resources. Together, let us raise awareness and promote safe anaesthesia for all. #WorldAnesthesiaDay
